♥ D.I.Y Lip Scrub ♥

Hello lovelies :)

So today I decided I'd make a lip scrub ready for these chilly winter months ahead. I'm one of those people that will not go anywhere without my lip balm literally anywhere. Even though my lips are constantly moisturised I STILL get chapped lips in the winter  sigh :( . I have been thinking of purchasing a lib scrub from Lush but my bank balance says no so I found a few tutorials online of how to make one and just made the rest up as I went along. So without further ado this is what I did.

What you will need:

* Caster Sugar (or any sugar)
* Olive Oil
* Food Colouring (optional), I used pink
* Food Flavouring (optional), I used peppermint
* Container
* 2x Tea Spoons
* Bowl

Instructions:

1.) Put 3 teaspoons of sugar in the bowl. I had 3 containers to make and I didn't measure at all but the end product was 2 teaspoons to each container so this is a little bit of a guessing game but I think 3 should be around the right amount for 1.

2.) Add 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Again this is a guessing game as it depends how you like your scrub. Mine is quite sugary so its a rough scrub but for a smoother one add more oilve oil or less sugar.

3.) Add half a teaspoon of peppermint and half a teaspoon of colouring. (optional)

4.) Mix until all the sugar is coated with all flavours and oil. Add more sugar or olive oil now to make it the right consistency for you.

5.) Time to add to your container and your ALL DONE.

Its that simple. It took me about 5 minutes with finding all ingredients, making it and cleaning up. The fact that I had all of the ingredients made this lip scrub completely FREE for me and it's completely EDIBLE too, amazing right?!? It actually tastes nice.

OOTD // * Young and Wild and Free *

T-shirt // Topshop
Dungarees // New Look
Belt // Matalan
Shoes // Ebay

Hello :)

This is actually my ootd yesterday but i never got around to writing this post. I woke up yesterday and the sun was shining which automatically puts me in a good mood! I threw on my dungarees, set my hair in a side parting and let out my inside child hence the FUN photos :D

I LOVE my dungarees, they're so easy to style and really fun to wear, I don't know why :/ Although the sun was shining, which seems like it was the last day of summer looking out at the rain from snuggled in my bed with hot chocolate right now, It wasn't warm enough to go bear legs. The tights are back!

I had a busy day yesterday and this outfit was so comfy but still stylish. I went to visit my Nanny for tea and cake, then to visit my brother for a catch up and then I played 'come dine with me' and cooked pasta for my friends, which if I may say so myself was scrummy.

Hope you all had a fun Saturday and a wonderfully lazy Sunday catching up on LFW of course :)

*Kuala Lumpur*

So this summer I spent a wonderful  almost 3 weeks in Kuala Lumpur with my boyfriend. I am lucky enough to have a mother that works/lives there so accommodation was FREE. It was SO nice to see my mother, as I have been in Spain for a year, I haven't seen a whole lot of her and what better place to reunite than in Malaysia. Being there for 3 weeks I could ramble and ramble about everything I did but i'll keep it short and sweet and just mention the main things.

Firstly, anyone planning on visiting Kuala Lumpur I would advise you to stay for only a few days as after the Petronas Towers and the amazingly cheap shopping there isn't a whole lot else to do there.

Petronas Towers
The Petronas Towers are so beautiful and can be seen almost anywhere you go within the city. They are so shiny it is hard to express how AMAZING they are to see in real life. Being the largest twin towers in the world and having the highest double decker sky-bridge it is a fantastic experience to climb. The sky-bridge actually has a 12 inch gap from the building to allow it to move in strong winds which is quite scary to be told when you're about to walk on it, thankfully it was a lovely day. After visiting the sky bridge we went to the very top of the towers where the views of the city are breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this visit to anyone heading to Kuala Lumpur. The best views of the towers can be seen from Traders Hotel sky bar which is free to enter and a whole other experienced in itself.

View from Traders Sky bar

Petaling Street

My FAVOURITE thing to do in the city was shopping in Petaling street market. For anyone that doesn't know this is where you can purchase all things designer!! Fake of course but such good quality no-one could tell. For anyone visiting here is a rough price list;

Bags - RM 80 - RM 100 (£16 - £20)
Sunglasses - RM 25 - RM 35 (£5 - £7)
Hats - RM 25 (£5)
Purses - RM 25 - RM 30 (£5 - £6)

There are also so many malls to visit I couldn't count. Most have the same shops but they also have their own reasons to visit, for example in Berjaya Times Square there is a theme park!!

Berjaya Times Square

Banana Leaf

Best Tandoori Chicken in the world!!

The main reason I would go back to Kuala Lumpur is definitely for the food. I had the nicest food I have ever tasted here and it was unbelievably cheap. My favourite place was an Indian called Devi's corner. When seeing the place you might be put off as it is nothing fancy but they serve the most amazing Indian I have ever had, even my mother agreed and she lived in India for a year. The three of us had so much food we couldn't finish it and the entire bill, drinks included, came to RM33, that's just under £7!!! It is definitely worth a visit you will not be disappointed.

If any of you are visiting and would like to ask any questions I would be more than happy to share my thoughts and experiences, so either contact me by email which is displayed in my profile or just comment below :)

I hope you've enjoyed reading about my experience and I hope it's now a place to add to your bucket list if it's not on there already.

*Make-up haul - New York*

Hello.

Whilst in New York, amongst the jam packed days of sight seeing from morning til night, I managed to fit in a little, maybe a lot, of shopping. The one thing I had set on my list to buy before going was MAKE-UP!

Since developing a little obsession with it I was EXTREMELY excited to find out that my favourite brand, Clinique, was like dirt cheap compared to here in the UK. I always used to come out with rashes on my face from all sorts of lotions and potions which is why I was always weary of wearing makeup until my mother advised me that Clinique was the only brand that didn't make her react. This is when my love for the brand started. However since growing up my reactions seem to have gone and as long as everything is fragrance free I seem to be able to wear whatever lucky me.

So now you understand my love for the brand you can now understand how happy I was when I found out that for the few days I was there Macy's happened to be having a Clinique bonus time offer on. Amazing right?!? I can't quite remember but I think it was if you spend over $25 you get the free gift, which in my opinion is amazingly generous.

The free gift consisted of a travel wash bag, an on-the-go eye shadow and blusher palette, a lipstick, a high impact mascara, a sample size 7 day scrub cream and a sample size dramatically different moisturizing lotion. Plus on top of all this they were throwing in a free brush set consisting of a little travel pouch, a blusher brush, and an angled eye shadow brush. So you get all this plus whatever product you buy all for $25!! There were two sets to chose from, pink or purple, and as i'm sure you all would've done I purchased my items in separate transactions and chose both!!

The other item on my list, which I'm sure you are all very familiar with, was the very popular Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. This is the best eye shadow palette I have ever purchased. I use if for both day and night looks and even though I'm sure it will last a VERY long time, when it does finally run out I won't hesitate to buy it again. I have now fallen in LOVE with Urban Decay and have the Naked 2 palette on my wish list hint hint anyone.

The last thing I bought was a set of Eco Tools brushes. I think I paid something like $15 dollars for both the starter set and a foundation brush. I must say I wasn't expecting much as they are SO cheap but I had read great reviews about this brand so thought I'd give them a go. The blusher brush is amazingly soft and the other brushes do the job, but I was quite disappointed with the foundation brush as it was a little hard and quite pointed.

I have included pictures of everything below and if there's anything that you would like a full review on just comment below or send me an email and I will do a review post.

Thanks for reading.

*Welcome Back*

Hello.

As the title suggests I am welcoming back my blog to the blogosphere after a LOOONG time away.

I have been so busy this year basically just LOVING LIFE and travelling but now reality of my last year of uni is settling in I wanted to pay the MUCH needed attention to my blog and get it back running ready for a place to escape to. I hear third year is stressful weep weep.

So now that my Erasmus year is over and I am back in Wales, why so cold??, I can honestly say it was the best year of my life. I made so many good friends and had the best experiences ever! Any of you readers lucky enough to have a year abroad sometime I would STRONGLY advise you to take it and I promise that you will LOVE it. The hardest part of going away... is coming home. I miss it so much :(

I was also lucky enough to have two holidays this year!! Firstly I went to Tunisia with my boyfriend for a wonderful week of relaxing under the sun. Then last minute we booked to go to Kuala Lumpur for almost 3 weeks to visit my mother!! How amazing right? I had never been anywhere east and I would definitely go back just for the food and the amazingly cheap designer bags, all fake of course, but who cares??

So between jetting off to all of these places and catching up with everyone I have missed, I hope now you understand why I had such little time to blog. But have no fear, I am back and ready to pick up where I left off and will get my New York make-up haul post up soon. I will also do posts of all my trips as travelling has now become an addiction of mine, so if your interested then please check out those too :)

Hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday. It is actually dry and sunny where I am and I have one of my besties' birthday party tonight so I'm excited!

* New York New York *

Hello :)

So I have abandoned my blog for a few weeks due to being home for Easter. Also when I returned to Spain it was 30 degrees and sunny everyday and I felt like I hadn't seen sun for a year and stayed outside from sunrise to sunset. Okay slight exaggeration, but I was out in it all day as I'm sure any of you would be if you hadn't seen sun for like a year. The nice weather has now turned to rain which is sad :( but it means I finally have time to catch up on my blogging and share my amazing New York experience with you all, yaaay :D

It was literally the best experience of my life so far and I would definitely recommend a visit! I would visit this city time after time as there is so much to see and do you will never be bored. I won't bore you with lengthy stories of it as all everyone is interested in is pictures, so with out further ado here's my trip in a very small selection photos which were so hard to pick as I took about 700.

* A New World of Shopping *

I am ALWAYS shopping whether it be a haul day, window shopping or browsing through countless clothing websites online. I have my favourite 'go to' shops on the high street but I find that with popular shops such as Topshop or River Island everyone ends up owning the same clothes so I've now branched out and been hunting down great online clothing websites.

I'm always a bit weary when shopping online as if it's a new website you don't know how their clothes fit which can be annoying when, like me, you're in between sizes but most of these websites offer free or cheap returns and often have free delivery days too.

There are the 'popular' online shops like Asos, boohoo and missguided that I'm sure by now everyone knows about, but if not check them out below, but there are also so many other great websites so I thought that I'd do a post and share some of my favourites and hopefully introduce you to some great new 'shops'.

1. Asos - Selling a wide range of branded clothing including high street retailers, such as River Island, as well as their own amazing range. The largest of online retailers so I'm sure you will find something you like here. Ranges from reasonably cheap to very expensive designer clothes. Here is my pick.

2. Missguided - For the quirky style. Their fashion is fun and playful which is reflected in their modelling shoots. Very affordable prices and great if your looking for something bang on trend but a little different. Here is my pick.

3. Boohoo - Again very affordable prices. Stylish on trend clothing and also a great range of shoes. Now offering free returns too which is always a plus when shopping online. Here is my pick.

4. Ark - I think they do have a few shops but I have never seen one so for me this is solely online. They stock branded clothing such as Motel and Glamorous. Reasonably priced clothing with free delivery offers. Reminds me of Republic. Here id my pick.

5. Oasap - Like Topshop meets Urban Outfitters. Has that vintage feel of Urban Outfitters but also on trend clothing like Topshop. Love this one and they offer free worldwide delivery, What more could you ask for?

6. Yayer - Not a very large collection but what they do have is amazing! One of my favourites and most recently found. Can't believe I only heard of this a few weeks ago. They have such stylish clothing and very reasonable prices, they also stock Jeffery Campbell, but you do have to pay for delivery and returns :( Here is my pick.

7. DaisyStreet - This to me is very similar to missguided. Cheap fashionable clothing with cheap delivery and free exchanges. Definitely worth checking out and they have a great disco pant range. Here is my pick.

8. China Doll Boutique - Being a boutique rather than a store means they stock a lot less clothing but their clothes are so girly and feminine and definitely worth a look. They also offer free delivery offers which is always a bonus. Here is my pick.

9. Evie Knight - Affordable prices, great clothes. Pretty much sums it up. They also have a vintage section which is great! Here is my pick.

10. MeeMee - Love this site. Vintage but fresh feel to all clothes. All different items that I haven't seen else where. Free deliver, free returns and 10% off your first order!! Amazing! Here is my pick.

I hope you've fallen in love with some of these sites as much as I have :)
One Tip : A lot of these sites sell a few similar if not the same items, so before purchasing browse through them all to see which site is the cheapest :)

Happy shopping!!
